My intention is to illustrate the basic elements of current trade union strategies, utilizing the international debate between scholars of industrial relations and political sociology fields (e.g. social movement theory). The reference point starts with the ratification of Maastricht Treaty (1992). Through primary and secondary research in metal sector (union archives, media archives, questionnaires filled by metal sector employees) I tried to test the assumptions of the theoretical and methodological part of the Phd.
