The present work focuses on the question of immigration of Pontian immigrants fromthe ex-U.S.S.R. in Greece in the dues of decade 1980 and the beginning of decade 1990,as well as in their access, if they have the corresponding degrees, in higher professions. These persons abandoned everything they had created there, mainly because of thenationalism, which had burst out that season in these regions, and their wish to live inthe homeland. The main problems, which they faced in Greece, were the ignorance ofGreek language and the racism. Characteristic is that they presented enough high rate ofthird degree education, however they were complicated in their access in higherprofessions110. Moreover they had to face also more general problems, as negativeconfrontation, social exclusion etc. From the interviews, which were carried out111,resulted that the Pontian immigrants from the ex-U.S.S.R., until their degrees wererecognized, were doing works much more inferior of their qualifications. Some of themdid not even enter in the process of recognition of their degrees and dealt with irrelevantprofessions from the object of their study. Remainders, that were not absorbed by theGreek state, in order to work on their object, became free professionals.
