Professional depletion is a phenomenon that has been associated with doctors and health professionals from the early 1980's. Particular interest was given by researchers in defining certain key characteristics associated with professional burnout. These features are divided into two categories: 1) demographic characteristics and 2) the personality traits of each individual. The first category includes those features which give us a picture of the demographic sample survey and that which is suffering from symptoms of professional burnout. Characteristics such as gender, marital status, age, level of education. In the second category we see and investigate the characteristics that has the personality of each individual in the area of work depending on the behavior that transpires. This thesis aims to investigate the stress (stress) and burn (burn out), the nursing staff of public hospitals GNP Tzanio and EANP Metaxas. As we all very well know the profession of nurse practitioners belongs to those presented in bold factor of stress in the workplace. Some of the factors that contribute to the presence of stress in the work of the nurse is the system shift, heavy workloads, poor form of administration, lack of personal, mental and physical violence can receive from their patients, different communicable diseases, and other factors that make the work of nurses even more difficult. What is important to mention is that there is a high degree of correlation between these two factors: stress and burnout. The method used in this research is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodology. Data collection is in the form of interviews and questionnaires distributed to nurses in hospitals.
