Οι κοινωνικοοικονομικές και πολιτισμικές διαστάσεις της περιαστικοποίησης του αγροτικού χώρου: το παράδειγμα των δήμων Σπάτων και Αρτέμιδος Μεσογείων Αττικής

Abstract

The issue addressed by this work is the suburbanization of the countryside, a phenomenon that has been intensified in Greece during the last fifteen years, but in several countries it has emerged several decades ago. This phenomenon has developed in response to the ever evolutionary and restructured relation between the city and the country, a relation that has started since the period of industrialization and continues till today. To illustrate, it should be noted that the passing area might be described (with a straight definition) as an economic, social and cultural place, geographically close to an urban center.The phenomenon of suburbanization is investigated according to the changes that have been made in the uses of land, which reflect the new relation created. Furthermore, a point o the investigation is the return of the townspeople in the countryside, directly implied with the suburbanization which causes many changes in socioeconomic, cultural and demographic situation of the countryside.The area over which the local investigation has been conducted is Mesogeia of Attica and especially the municipalities of Spata/Loutsa and Artemis. These are areas that have highly experienced the consequences of suburbanization because of their proximity to the capital.Methodologically, the research is based on international literature review in point of a modern definition of the suburbanization that face. Apart from that, the local investigation has been conducted in areas that represent the field with the questionnaires, which have been analyzed in SPSS and interviews.
