Νέες τεχνολογίες, διαδίκτυο, ιστολόγια και κοινωνική δικτύωση στην Ελλάδα : παρουσίαση και στατιστική ανάλυση

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to present the Intenet expansion that has been realized the last few decades in Greece and seems to have changed the way people communicate, as well as the methods and the means used in order to transmit and exchange information. The creation and the expansion of the web social networks have played a determining role to the changes in communication. The data collected for the completion of the thesis are based on well known and widely accepted websites. Moreover, a particular study on the social networks and their features that are created amongst the users was conducted, in order to provide a statistical analysis. The analysed data was collected from the results of the Sample Research «The use of the Information, Technology and Communication from Househollds», which was carried out from the Hellenic Statistical Authority in 2010. Particularly, an analysis of the data was realized, regarding the use of computers and the Internet, according to the educational level, age and gender as well as their development through the years. Thus, the Analysis of Time Series made it possible to predict the number of Facebook users in Greece until July 2011, since this site appears to be the most popular social network with the number of Greek users increases as time passed by.
