Abstract:In the present study, anti-drug policies are being analyzed in the forefront of anti-social exclusion policies. They are studied at a microsocial level as symbols of existing contradictions stemming from the simultaneous existence of “stigma career,” on the one hand, and the institutional structure combating it, on the other. The contradictions are interlinked through the roles of the “beneficiaries” of social rehabilitation programs. Drug policies and issues are further researched within a macrosocial conceptual framework of emerging biosocial and psychosocial collective identities penetrating and reshaping key "citizenship skills".Firstly, the drug problematization is approached through a narrative perspective existing amid the processes of globalization, Europeanization, and statehood, focusing on the political, sociological, and criminological aspects. We are essentially trying to observe the “nomadic” dynamics of power between state and civil society, national and transnational organizations, penal and welfare policy, along with restriction and freedom parameters defined for the human body in such power trajectories. We additionally elaborate on qualitative and quantitative data to examine national anti-drug conceptualization mainly in the new millennium, when Greece is called to reconsider “herself” and her “phobias” based on a historical distinction between pre-crisis and post-crisis eras.
