Abstract:The main objectives of this study was to investigate the relationship between fertility, education and employment in Greece and to identify the main differences between fertility levels based on education and employment of women. In addition to identifying how they affect the fertility of women from education, education levels and employment. An important objective of this study was to investigate the fertility of women (percentage of women without children, average number of children) for the 1955-59 generations with different levels of education, a different type of education (educational field), and level of education in their profession. In this study the statistical data used is from the 2001 census. Specifically, the data used by the census is the percentage of women without children for the 1955-59 generations with different kind of education and different levels of education. Also, reference was made in kind and level of education and occupation. To find used fertility the average number of children. The data will be processed with the statistical package SPSS. The fertility of women studied further with the help of genealogy fertility. Fertility was studied according to the type of training received by each woman and the occupation that followed. With genealogy fertility can study and how many children gave birth to each woman. The number of children appears to be negatively associated with employment. Even the design of future employment for women seems to have a negative effect on fertility. The low fertility observed in women with higher education to spouses in low income level and high-income ratio. Therefore, education can not be viewed only as economic or human-main, but its impact on fertility should be examined within an institutional framework that examines the relationship between education, labor market, state, and family .
